Ovarian Remnant Removal
Specialised surgery for persistent ovarian tissue

Removal of residual ovarian tissue after prior oophorectomy.
In rare cases, small portions of ovarian tissue can remain after an ovary is surgically removed—especially in patients with dense adhesions or severe endometriosis. This tissue may continue to produce hormones, form cysts, or cause pain, leading to a condition known as ovarian remnant syndrome.
Removal of this tissue is highly specialised and often requires advanced laparoscopic skills to safely navigate scar tissue and protect surrounding organs. Dr Raman is experienced in performing this procedure using minimally invasive techniques, reducing the risk of further adhesions and supporting faster recovery.
A full assessment, including imaging and hormonal evaluation, will be completed before any decision to proceed with surgery.
